Make Up Forever opens on Robertson Blvd, Los Angeles

MAKE UP FOREVER, the Paris based professional cosmetic company owned by LVMH, has opened its second US boutique on Robertson Blvd in Los Angeles, California. This store is a dream for women. The boutique carries an incredible selection of colors and makeup with over 1400 SKU's of cosmetic products including their famous and award winning HD foundation. The store is stocked with a wide array of  eyeshadow, lipstick, eyeliner, blush, mascara, a lash bar and a wide range of special effects makeup. Makeup artists (trained by educators from the MAKEUP FOR EVER Academy in Paris) at the store educate you and show you how to apply your makeup just like the pros. Make Up Forever, was founded in Paris in 1984 by painter and sculptor, Dany Ganz. The makeup was originally for the stage and screen.  Make Up Forever is sold in Sephora (another LVMH company) and a few department stores around the world.

In the store, complimentary lessons are available with a $40 purchase of products. The lessons concentrate on one area of the face. However, full face lessons are available with $120 purchase of products. I took a 30 minute video recording studio lesson by Laurie, a professional artist at the store. I received my step by step eye make-up lesson later on a lipstick shaped USB drive for $20, so I would be able to recreate the look at home. Even if you do not have time for a lesson and just need one or two products the friendly and knowledgeable staff will help you pick the right shade and show you how to apply it correctly. This is now my new go to cosmetic store whenever I need a new look.

Professional seminars and a photo studio for professional makeup artists are held at the Pro Loft across the street at 101 South Robertson Blvd.
